Dr. Phillips started teaching in 1991 at Pearl Stephens Elementary. She has received an EdD in Curriculum and Leadership, EdS in Educational Leadership, MS in Early Childhood Education, BA in Early Childhood Education, and BBA in Management. She received Coaching, TSC, Science, Math, and PBIS endorsements. Dr. Phillips began her career teaching SDD Prek and has taught all elementary grades, including Early Intervention. She has been an adjunct professor at GMC and Wesleyan. She is the Assistant Principal of Discipline for C.B. Watson Primary and Pearl Stephens Elementary.

Dr. Phillips has four wonderful sons: Christopher (Breanne), Nicholas (Allie), Johnathan (Alston), Stephen (Amanda), and one precious granddaughter, Skylar.  She also has two dogs and one cat: Cabella, Belle, and Patchy. She is an alumni member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, spending time with family, and running.
